Elsa Hosk is quickly on her way to becoming a house-hold name like Candice Swanepoel and the blonde bombshells before her. After two years as the Victoria's Secret PINK ambassador, the almost 5-foot-10-inch doe-eyed Swedish stunner was catapulted to Angel status in 2014. With that came a fragrance campaign, catalog covers and a steadily growing fan base—she has 2.8 million Instagram followers and counting, all of whom track her every selfie and off-duty look. Last week, Hosk let us inside her Victoria's Secret fitting for a sneak peek at her costume, bound for the Paris runway.
Harper's BAZAAR: Do you have a favorite outfit from the past five years that you've worn in the show?
Elsa Hosk: I think this year's looks are going to be my favorite. They're very different, one is very colorful, and this one is super sexy. Usually I'm in the prettier segments—because I'm blonde and blue-eyed, and this year it's getting a little more wild, which is fun.
HB: How do you feel about this look for the 2016 show?
EH: It has a lot of different elements to it. I love the delicate layers: it has lace, velvet, silk. The lingerie is very beautiful. This is probably the sexiest look I've ever worn in the VS show. This segment is called Secret Angel—I'm an undercover angel... on my mission... which is the catwalk. I'm just gonna be serious and sultry.

HB: What's your favorite part of being an official Victoria's Secret Angel?
EH: It's such a family here, not only do I love going to work—but when I know I'm shooting with VS I wake up in a great mood, and know it's going to be a great day. We know each other so well, and they take care of us. All the shoots I've done I'm really proud of. It's just a beautiful job. Not to mention, the platform we have as a result of working with one of the biggest brands in the world.
HB: How are you prepping for the show?
EH: Now that we're a month away from the show, I'm stepping up my workouts. I'm doing a mix between Barre classes, Pilates, running and weight lifting. There's less of a focus on cardio. I boxed for two years and I loved it, but it was hard on my back and neck; I was building a lot of muscle in my neck and shoulders, so I took a break. I'm much leaner now—I tend to look really muscular when I really work out hard, which can be great and empowering but then I have to work to slim them down. I really miss boxing though, and I'm sure I'll come back to it.
HB: Is there anything you cut out of your diet for the last month?
EH: Honestly, I'm so bad at restricting myself. As soon as I tell myself I can't have something, it's all I want. Last weekend I told myself, Elsa try not to eat bread or pizza, and it was all I wanted to eat! Every night I was sitting there with pizza. If I tell myself I can have anything I want then I will actually make healthy choices. I love eating healthy, I love drinking juices, I love the latest health thing: Matcha, chia, all that stuff.

HB: I know there's a lot of prep that all the girls go through right before the show, but do you have any personal rituals?
EH:I can't really hang out with people—I'm so in the zone. We always say it feels like we're training for the olympics... of modeling. And I can't have anyone disturbing my focus. I'm kind of a control freak, but I try to meditate a lot, and bring myself back down to earth, likeElsa to earth. It's not life or death.
HB: What's a "do" and "don't" for the new girls?
EH: Do have fun at the actual show. You get so caught up in it and you're focusing on the wrong things. When you focus on how beautiful it is, and listening to the music, loving your outfit, and just having fun— it's going to show on the runway. Versus if you're stuck in your head obsessing about things.
EH: Don't try to plan what you're going to do, or how you're going to pose on the runway. The best performances come from the girls who just go with the moment. Like the musician is moving around, you have to go with it—there's no planning.
HB: Favorite beauty tip or tricks you've picked up on set?
EH: I've been trying a lot of new beauty things. I've tried the infrared saunas, and cryotherapy which gives me a lot of energy. I'm also really into the Dr. Sturm blood cream. They take a vial of your blood, and use your white blood cells to make a moisturizer, so it's very healing for your own body because it's your own DNA.
HB: Do you still get nervous?
EB : Yes, I'm already nervous, but it's such a great honor to walk in this show and you just want to do your best.
